Arizona Training Trip

4/2/18

Hey from Arizona everybody! My husbands grandfather lives in Scottsdale so this weekend proved to be a great holiday weekend of family time as well as a wonderful warm weather training opportunity! It was not all work and no play, I was able to do some retail therapy and check out the really cool aquarium here. Being inside when not throwing or lightly sunbathing proved to be a good respite because it has gotten up to 90 degrees here almost every day! I was able to get a pool workout in which felt really good and different. With recording and editing help from my husband, I have attached a showing some of my training here, I hope you enjoy the fun angles! The throws are not all my best but I feel it is important to look at the not as good ones as much as it is the great ones. I am planning to post more videos like this in the future of my training and travels. Next week will be a fairly calm week as I am not competing this coming weekend and the team (Wisconsin) will leave to compete in Georgia. However, I am not 100% looking forward to returning home because snow is forecasted! That is what can be unfortunate about living and training up north, but the bonus is we have a great indoor facility where I can see the discus fly so it is not so bad. The weekend after that, April 12th and 13th, I will be competing in San Diego, CA at the Elite Athlete Training Facility, as well as at the USCD Triton invite. It looks to be a great competition with several phenomenal college and professional athletes in the field. I will check back in soon, and like I said I hope you enjoy the video!
